A wren couple readily accepted the nest Barbara placed on the branches of the pink flowering dogwood tree (Cornus Florida) in the middle of the brick patio behind our house. The eggs must have hatched in late April or early May and we started hearing the calls of the babies in late spring. It is very hard to photograph the wrens. They are very fast and never sit still. They come and go quickly. They are very attentive to the young... constantly fetching worms and insects and never very far away from the nest. We hear the wrens' songs all day.
